The Douro Wine Region Half Marathon – “The Most Beautiful Race in the World” – is an international event that combines athletics, nature and cultural identity. For almost two decades, it has enchanted athletes, walkers and lovers of the wine-growing scenery of the Alto Douro, classified by UNESCO.

The Half Marathon offers a variety of disciplines to suit different levels:

• Half-marathon (21 km), for those looking to challenge themselves between vineyards and rivers;

• 6 km Crono for beginners or those who prefer a lighter pace;

• Charity Walk (6 km), a moment of sharing and solidarity, open to all;

• Wheelchair race, demonstrating commitment to inclusion and equality.

The routes are almost always along the banks of the River Douro, with terraced vineyards dominating the hillsides and offering breathtaking views.
