The Secretariat for the Planicare Douro Valley Half Marathon 2026 will be at the Expo – Douro Valley Half Marathon.

- Friday, May 22: from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, May 23: from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Sunday, May 24: from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m.
We recommend that participants collect their athlete’s kit, whenever possible, on the days before the race.
We would also like to inform you that it is possible to pick up another athlete’s bib/kit, as long as you show proof of registration with the respective QR Code and the participant’s ID card details.

CP Train Discounts
Participants of the Planicare Douro Valley Half Marathon may benefit from a 30% discount on round-trip tickets for Intercidades (IC), InterRegional (IR) and Regional trains travelling to Régua, between 23 and 25 May 2026.
To benefit from the discount, participants must:
- Present proof of race registration/participation;
- Purchase a round-trip ticket to Régua.
⚠️ Important information:
On Sunday, 24 May, the first train is scheduled to arrive in Régua only at 09:25 AM.
As the race starts at 09:00 AM, we recommend that participants do not travel to Régua by train on race day itself.

Transport
The organization of the Planicare Douro Valley Half Marathon will once again be pleased to offer transport between the city of Peso da Régua and the race start point (Bagaúste Dam), in a convenient way for all participants in the event.
Important information
Embarkation and disembarkation:
– Boarding point: Peso da Régua CP station.
– Disembarkation for the races: the buses stop around 500 meters from the starting point, while the train has a disembarkation point around 400 meters away.
Transportation by train and bus:
– Train: Exclusive for the timed race (21 km):
1st Train – Régua 7h00 – 7h05 Bagaúste
2nd Train – Régua 7h30 – 7h35 Bagaúste
3rd Train – Régua 8h00 – 8h05 Bagaúste
4th Train – Régua 8h36 – 8h41 Bagaúste
Note:
Access to each of the trains is via a bib (all bibs will have the respective timetable selected duly printed).
– Buses: Available for all participants (21km and Walk):
1st Bus – 6h30
Last bus – 8h00
– The transport times will be clearly indicated at the time of registration and must be selected before finalizing registration.
Walk to the starting point:
– For those who prefer an active warm-up, there is the option of walking to the starting point (about 4.5km).
– National Road 222 will be closed to traffic from 6.30am, providing a safe and peaceful route for the runners.

The massage service will be available exclusively for athletes registered for the 21 km race of the Planicare Douro Valley Half Marathon.
